Study shows Canadian companies still weak on data security

A recent Shred-it Security Tracker/Ipsos study shows Canadian businesses increasingly support mobile and flexible work, writes MobileSyrup’s Bradly Shankar.
The study also shows, however, that 82% of executives and 63% of small business owners (SBOs) believe off-site work increases data vulnerability—further, 46% of SBOs don’t have any rules in place for managing sensitive data. In a crowded market, a reputation for superior security practices can make a company stand out from the competition.
